Manager/SR Manager Transfer Pricing (Midwest-US)

OBJECTIVE:

The purpose of this position is to manage multiple transfer pricing initiatives for this client companies U.S. Group. This company is one of the top 15 in a stable and aggressive growth industry. General responsibilities include: managing multiple transfer pricing projects, ensuring compliance with documented transfer pricing methods, reviewing inter-company agreements and managing external advisors. By serving as an internal transfer pricing consultant, this individual will provide advice to the different departments and help educate employees on the various tax laws and regulations, which affect Clients day-to-day operations.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Manages international transfer pricing tax activity, such as working on preparing Advanced Pricing Agreements to be filed with appropriate government authorities.
· Collaborates in a leadership role across Companies to ensure company is appropriately performing all intercompany transactions in accordance with transfer pricing rules.
· Works with legal department to ensure all pricing provisions in intercompany contracts are in accordance with transfer pricing rules.
· Responsible for maintaining contemporaneous documentation of transfer pricing methods and for performing periodic updates.
· Responsible for ensuring that all transfer pricing methods are fully implemented within financial systems (inter-company allocations, product-line P&Ls, etc.).
· Manages complex tax research projects related to transfer pricing matters.
· Supports the Internal Revenue Service and State Tax Audits on transfer pricing related matters.
· Reviews monthly transfer pricing between related companies to ensure correct separate company entity reporting.

Qualifications:

· B.S. in Accounting, Finance or Economics
· Idealy a Minimum 8 years of experience
· Experience with global transfer pricing structures

Manager of Tax and Transfer Pricing, US-NY

The US tax group is responsible for international, federal and state tax planning inclusive of transfer pricing, business support and development, audit defence and compliance.

The role of Manager, International Tax Planning &Transfer Pricing is intended to support all aspects of international tax, including global planning and transfer pricing initiatives.

The US is this clients largest (1/3 sales) and most complex market. Client company's US division distributes imported related party and third party Consumer goods. Client company also owns significant trademarks for which it manufactures and distributes within and outside the US.

As such, there are numerous planning opportunities for existing and future brands, as well as significant inbound and outbound inter-company transactions that need to be monitored and managed from a US and global perspective.

Leadership Responsibility:

Ability to move efficiently between strategy and detail and communicate tax position and risks. Stakeholder management with internal cross-departmental stakeholders within and outside the US, external advisers, tax authorities, etc.

Purpose of Role:

To manage the US aspects of global tax planning strategies, including global transfer pricing policy and documentation from inception through audit.

Top Accountabilities:

Support international planning transactions; identify and explain tax issues and risks; co-develop alternative scenarios/solutions · Participate on global business risk and transfer pricing team, which sets global policy and standards· Ensure US contemporaneously compliant with global policies by independently gathering financial data and functional analyses, and working with inter-company and compliance teams to properly reflect arm’s-length results in financial systems and tax returns· Work with business to explore alternative facets of business value drivers· Assist audit team with defense of transfer pricing issues

Qualifications & Experience:

corporate or accounting firm experience in international tax, financial analysis, accounting; exposure to some transfer pricing concepts helpful

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or JD (CPA, Master’s or LLM a plus)·

Exceptional financial modelling skills

Project management skills, including co-leading cross functional teams of in-house staff and outside advisors

Understanding of internal business processes, data structures and data preparation, using such knowledge to identify creative and innovative opportunities to gather data

Tax Manager, Transfer Pricing.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Transfer Pricing Strategy and is part of the organizations worldwide transfer pricing team.

This position/person would be the primary individual responsible for development and documentation of worldwide transfer pricing strategy.

This strategic person will identify and analyze major inter-company transactions, develop and model functional and financial analyses to recommend effective pricing methods that align with key business objectives, prepare required transfer pricing documentation, monitor profit levels of transactions, and manage outside consultants on selected major pricing initiatives.

* Manage a small team of analysts that are focused on daily transfer pricing of funding transactions. Interface with executives from associated business such as corporate tax, finance and operations.

* Manage global TP documentation in coordination with analysts, Sr. management, & 3rd parties).* Manage transfer pricing projects, such as: Treasury HQ cost allocations, capital loan database, cash pool studies as well as other key initiatives.

* Assist with TP controversy management, FIN 48 compliance, TP policy development, and planning initiatives
